We Turn Food Waste Into Delicious Meals
Helping people on their journey towards upward mobility
WHAT WE DO
Take Food Waste
FORK accepts food donations from partner food organizations to both eliminate food waste and lower the cost of food for individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Prepare Delicious Meals
FORK serves quality take-out meals prepared by a professional kitchen staff to qualified members, leading to a 30-50% reduction in total food costs and total cooking time for individuals.
Help Those In Need
FORK uses this cost and time reduction as a catalyst for change in the life of the member. FORK members have access to Upward Mobility Coaching to create and execute a plan for substantial and sustainable transformations.
WHO WE ARE
FOOD INSECURITY – (noun) the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.
FORK is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that will provide quality meals to qualified members who are experiencing food insecurity. Our goal is to use food waste from donation partnerships to help solve food insecurity for our members.
The statistics speak for themselves. According to the USDA, 133 billion pounds of food get thrown away every year, while simultaneously, 1 in every 8 Americans experience food insecurity. Providing drastic relief from stress around finding and paying for the next meal will give individuals the opportunity to look into the future with hope instead of despair. It is time we did something to address this.
FORK will soon be accepting applications for membership and will accept only those applicants experiencing food insecurity. We will assess household income, size of house household, and other factors. Stay tuned for more information regarding memberships.
